New 250sqm location offers homeware shopping, free planning services, and local collection for online orders |
IKEA is set to open its first pop-up store in Northern Ireland at The Boulevard in Banbridge on Thursday, November 13.
This initiative underscores the company's commitment to enhancing accessibility for customers across the region.
Situated within The Boulevard, Northern Ireland's premier outlet shopping destination, the 250-square-meter pop-up store will showcase a curated selection of 150 home furnishing accessories.
Shoppers can expect to find essential items for kitchens, bedrooms, and living rooms, all available for immediate purchase.
Beyond the product offerings, customers will benefit from complimentary, personalized kitchen and wardrobe planning services.
IKEA's expert planners will assist in designing customized kitchens, optimizing bedroom storage with the PAX wardrobe system, and creating flexible, space-saving living solutions.
These services aim to empower customers to bring their home improvement visions to life while adhering to their budgets.
The pop-up store will also feature a Collect Near You point, allowing customers to conveniently pick up online purchases closer to home.
This addition complements existing collection points in Ballymena, Antrim, Limavady, and Dungannon, further enhancing the shopping experience for Northern Ireland residents.
Michaela Quinlan, Market Manager for IKEA Belfast, expressed enthusiasm about the launch: "We are excited to welcome customers to our first pop-up in Northern Ireland.
This is not only an opportunity to meet new customers where they are but also a chance to make IKEA even more accessible.
Whether you're planning a dream kitchen or picking up everyday essentials, we’re here to help customers across Northern Ireland create the spaces they love."
The opening of this pop-up store marks a significant milestone for IKEA in Northern Ireland, showcasing the brand's adaptability to evolving customer needs.
The Boulevard's impressive annual footfall and strategic location along the A1 corridor between Belfast and Dublin make it an ideal venue to engage both local shoppers and visitors from further afield.
Paul McCann, Asset Manager at Lotus Property, owners of The Boulevard, highlighted the significance of this development: "It’s fantastic to welcome IKEA to The Boulevard as part of their first pop-up initiative in Northern Ireland.
The addition of a global brand like IKEA not only enhances the retail experience for our visitors but also reinforces The Boulevard as a dynamic destination for shopping.
We’re confident this arrival will be hugely popular with our loyal customers and visitors from across the region, especially the busy Belfast-to-Dublin corridor."
In recent years, The Boulevard has experienced significant growth and development.
Notably, plans for a new 21-lane bowling alley by Hollywood Bowl have been approved, with the facility expected to open by early 2026.
This £9 million expansion aims to create a comprehensive food and entertainment quarter, further solidifying The Boulevard's status as a leading retail and leisure destination in Northern Ireland.
With the introduction of IKEA's pop-up store, shoppers can look forward to an enriched retail experience that combines quality home furnishings with personalized services, all within the vibrant setting of The Boulevard.
As the opening date approaches, anticipation builds for this exciting addition to Northern Ireland's retail landscape. |
