Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 13, 2025, as Lurgan Park transforms into a hub of cultural celebration with the much-anticipated 'Culture in the Park' festival.
This free event, running from 1 pm to 6 pm, invites families and individuals to immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of cultures that make up our community.
Community Performers Take Centre Stage
For the first time, local talents will grace the main stage, offering attendees the chance to support friends, neighbors, and emerging artists.
Among the performers is Strings and Sings, a Banbridge-based vocal, guitar, and ukulele group renowned for their harmonious and uplifting performances.
Since their formation in 2019, they've captivated audiences across Northern Ireland at various venues, including care homes, charity events, and festivals.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to be taking part in Culture in the Park,” said Sandra from Strings and Sings.
“It’s such a wonderful opportunity to come together with people from all backgrounds, share music, and celebrate the joy that connects us all.”
Other community performers include pupils from St Ronan’s College, the Markethill Ulster-Scots Highland Dancers, and the Co. Armagh Junior Drum Majors.
A Global Showcase of Music and Dance
The festival promises a vibrant mix of live music and dance from around the world.
Attendees can look forward to performances by the Ravara Pipe Band, The Kilted Dance Company, Trim The Velvet Irish Dancers, Chinese Culture & Dance NI, Dontham Indian Dancers, and Magwere.
Each act brings a unique flavor, ensuring a diverse and engaging experience for all.
More Than Just Performances
Beyond the stage, 'Culture in the Park' offers a plethora of activities to engage attendees of all ages.
From international food stalls serving delectable cuisines to interactive workshops and family crafts, there's something for everyone.
“Culture in the Park is a wonderful chance to come together, celebrate the diversity of our community, and enjoy a great day out in beautiful Lurgan Park,” said the Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon, Alderman Stephen Moutray.
“From local performers to cultural showcases, there’s something for everyone – and we’d love to see as many people there as possible!”
