Coleen Rooney Supports Son Kai at SuperCupNI in Northern Ireland

The Rooney family cheers on young talent as Manchester United U15s compete in prestigious youth tournament

Coleen Rooney has long been a familiar face in football stands, supporting her husband, Wayne Rooney, throughout his illustrious career.

Now, the spotlight shifts to their eldest son, Kai Rooney, as he showcases his burgeoning talent with the Manchester United U15s at the renowned SuperCupNI in Northern Ireland.

The SuperCupNI, formerly known as the Milk Cup, is a prestigious youth football tournament that has been a launching pad for many football stars since its inception in 1983.

This year's tournament runs from Sunday, July 27 to Friday, August 1, 2025, featuring elite teams from around the globe.

Manchester United's U15 squad, including Kai, has been making significant strides in the competition.

In their opening match on Monday, July 28, they secured a 3-0 victory over West Cork Academy.

The goals were netted by Abdoulaye Bassirou Nkoto, who scored twice, and Noah Ajayi.

Following this, on Tuesday, July 29, the team continued their impressive form with a 2-0 win against Glasgow Rangers.

Both goals in this match were again scored by the prolific Abdoulaye Bassirou Nkoto.

These victories have positioned Manchester United favorably in Group C of the Premier Section, setting a promising trajectory for the team.

Coleen Rooney traveled to Northern Ireland to support her son during these crucial matches.

She was seen arriving at the Ballymena Showgrounds, dressed stylishly in a black jacket and trousers, accessorized with a quilted Chanel crossbody bag.

Accompanied by her youngest son, Cass, aged seven, Coleen's presence underscores the family's commitment to nurturing Kai's football journey.

The SuperCupNI has a rich history of featuring future football stars.

Notably, Manchester United has a longstanding association with the tournament, having participated regularly since the 1980s.

Past participants include legends like David Beckham, Paul Scholes, and Marcus Rashford.

The tournament provides young talents like Kai an invaluable platform to hone their skills and gain international experience.

As the tournament progresses, the Rooney family's presence adds a personal touch to the event, highlighting the blend of professional competition and familial support that defines the spirit of the SuperCupNI.

With upcoming matches, fans eagerly anticipate further standout performances from Kai and his teammates, as they aim to leave a lasting impression on this esteemed tournament.
